Once you have passed your standard driving test, there is still a wide range of advanced driving tuition available from Surrey Driving Force which has been designed to enhance the driving skills of qualified drivers.
Surrey Driving Force’s advanced driving tuition is available to anyone who holds a full UK driving licence with the aim of improving our clients anticipation skills and, in turn, reducing the amount of fuel wasted through unnecessary braking or acceleration.
It’s also hoped that by teaching drivers how to make better sense of the road ahead of them, the number of car accidents will be reduced. There are other advantages to taking an advanced driving course, too. Many car insurance firms offer big discounts to drivers who can demonstrate that they’ve taken steps to further their driving skills.

Advanced Driving Day
Organised and run by one of our instructors Roger Baker, Surrey Driving Force is now in a position to offer a unique ‘Advanced Driving Day’.
This advanced driving course is based on the publication Road Craft which was written by the police, for the police in an effort to train police drivers to a consistent high standard.
Eco Safe Driving
From 10 September 2008, whilst completing your practical driving test, you will also be judged by your examiner on your ability to drive a car whilst demonstrating eco-safe driving techniques.
If you wish to become a driving instructor, it is an essential requirement for you to pass the appropriate driving test. Our taxi tuition will fully prepare you for this test.
Diamond Advanced Driving Test
The Diamond Advanced Driving Test is an advanced form of the driving test that will require you to show a much increased level of driving than will be expected during a standard driving test.
The current standard Government driving test lasts for 35 minutes and allows up to 15 minor (driving) errors over the route, whereas the Diamond Advanced Driving Test will last for 1 hour and will allow only a maximum of 6 minor faults.
Driving Instructor Training
Being a driving instructor can be a tremendously satisfying job. As well as the ability to constantly meet new and interesting people, it also provides flexible working hours and excellent rates of pay.
The look on one of your learner driver’s faces when they pass their test is something that will live with you forever and not many jobs can provide satisfaction like that!
Surrey Driving Force’s Driving Instructor Training will teach you everything that you need to know to ensure that you are fully prepared for the test that must be passed to become a fully qualified and certified driving instructor.
ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) Part 1
To become an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) it is essential that you successfully complete a 3 part test.
ADI Part 1 of this test is the – ADI Theory Test.
The ADI theory test is a divided into 2 sections; a multiple choice section and a hazard perception test.
The multiple choice section will be delivered using a touch screen computer and mouse and the hazard perception section will record you response through the speed of your mouse click.
In order to progress it is vital that you pass both sections of the theory test. If you pass one section but fail the other, this will be counted as an overall fail and you will need to retake both sections again.
ADI Part 2
ADI Part 2 of this test is a – Practical test of your driving ability.
This test will provide a substantial test of your driving technique and also your eyesight. It will last for approximately 1 hour and as with ADI Part 1, you must be successful on both parts of the test at the same time in order to progress.
ADI Part 3
ADI Part 3 is a – Practical test of your ability to instruct.
This section of the ADI Test will provide a strict test of your ability to teach and impart your driving knowledge to your client. Divided into 2 half hour sections (which again must both be passed), you will be expected to show your knowledge & ability by giving practical driving instruction to the Examiner who will first take on the role of a pupil who is a beginner or a learner driver with limited knowledge & then a pupil who is at about test standard.
